2NRS Website Receives Highest Commendation

Recently, I had the pleasure of being involved in the AFTRS 2NRS Broadcast with my fellow Postgraduate Radio Students.

2NRS is the pop-up broadcast that runs every year, and this year took a focus on the Illawarra Region of New South Wales, Australia. It is designed to give students a hands-on opportunity to build, launch and manage a real radio station. The broadcast is taught and mentored by leading industry professionals, such as Content Directors and announcers from Southern Cross Austereo (SCA) and Australian Radio Network (ARN).

In just two weeks, the station was built including its imaging, an entire music library, and social media assets. I took the lead on the development of the 2NRS website, and due to internal constraints, took the website to something the school had never seen before in a matter of only days.

The website received tremendous feedback from staff and students, and was awarded a High Distinction grade.

The 2NRS website is one of the best student websites that has been created for this assignment.

The website not only reflected the branding, look and feel of the Social Media policy, it kept at its core the audience and the people of the Illawarra it was trying to reach. 

The website and social media content clearly identifies the audience, understands the target audience and has been designed to reflect that. The mammoth effort that was put into the website is reflective of its quality and is of the highest standard.
